Respect Contact Opt-In Before Sending Campaigns
An email configuration setting checks the appropriate marketing consent before contacts receive email or SMS campaigns.
What’s New
Opt-in Email Marketing can enforce explicit consent for email and SMS campaigns and flag recipients missing the required consent.
Why It Matters
Teams operating in GDPR or CASL jurisdictions can reduce manual consent checks and avoid sending marketing to contacts who have not opted in.
What’s Included
- Consent validation in campaign recipient workflows.
- Separate email and SMS consent checks.
- Clear errors for recipients missing the appropriate permission.
- Default enablement for new accounts in GDPR countries.
How to Use It
- Open GREENstick Business App → Settings → Email Configuration.
- Have the appropriate administrator enable Opt-in Email Marketing and save.
- Review flagged recipients and capture valid consent or remove them before sending.
Good to Know
Queued and in-progress campaigns can surface consent errors when the setting is enabled. This helps enforce consent but does not replace your responsibility to meet applicable law.
